Mission Statement

Tennessee Area 52 Al-Anon Family Groups Archives preserves our spiritual recovery and provides a means of growth and betterment to Tennessee Al-Anon Family Groups. It serves as a repository of the experience, strength, and hope of Al-Anon members in Tennessee by including their personal stories and by including the history of service in the Area in documents showing how business has been accomplished at the Area level through the years.

Statement of Purpose

As of September 13, 2025, the Archives Committee’s intent is to store, as much as possible, electronically. Furthermore, as of this date, we may preserve different types of documents from the past. We may also maintain paper copies in the event they are not available electronically.

Tennessee Area 52 Archives includes, but is not limited to, the following Area information:

• • • • AWSC and Assembly meetings attendance records, agenda, minutes, and officer, coordinator, Task (Work or Thought) Force reports
      • Final convention reports
      • Correspondence, Area Flyers
      • Historical resolutions
      • The precursor to The Forum and out-of-print literature
      • Personal notes shared by those in Area service positions
      • Personal stories shared by members.
      • Pictures
      • Speaker recordings from Tennessee Area 52
      • Conventions
      • The Tennessee Traveler
